The governor of Ekiti State, Mr Ayodele Fayose has warned National Youth Corps Members posted to the state who are also likely to be engaged in the upcoming elections in the state, to decline any attempt at rigging an election. The governor who said this while welcoming the Corpers to the state praised them for picking the most peaceful state in the country, while also sounding a note of warning on the coming elections in the State.
The governor while addressing the Corpers cautioned the Corpers saying, if politician approaches them so they could help them rig election, they should decline and not do otherwise, as doing such could bring a disappointment to their parents as no politician would allow his or her children to engage in such. He said:
If I ask you to rig election for me,pls decline.Your parents have spent fortunes on you to be a graduate, you should not disappoint them.Those politicians will never call out their children to die. Don’t allow yourselves to be used.
