Hollywood actor Verne Troyer has died, at the age of 49. The actor who according to TMZ was best known for playing Mini-Me in the ‘Austin Powers’ comedies, and for being one of the shortest men in the world, died in the early hours of today (Saturday). The cause of death is yet to be established, as the entertainment world mourns both the deaths of Avicii and Verne Troyer.
The family released a statement contemplating he might have taken his own life. The statement reads:
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts to write that Verne passed away today, depression and suicide are very serious issues.
“You never know what kind of battle someone is going through inside. But be kind to one another. And always know, it’s never too late to reach out to someone for help,”
the statement reads.
