The Speaker of The United State House Of Representatives Paul Ryan has announced his retirement from active politics come January 2019 official. The Speaker who said he will not be seeking a re-election in the next elections, as he looks forward to other personal businesses took to his Instagram page to break the news.
Ryan was elected to the House of Representatives in 1999 and became the Speaker in October 2015, and will not be going back to the House come next elections. He took to his Instagram page to make the announcement, saying:
Serving as speaker has been a great honor. Now, with all three of my kids in their teens, I am ready to set new priorities. I intend to serve my full term as I was elected to do. But I will be retiring in January, leaving this majority in good hands and with a bright future.
