The wife of the President of Nigeria, Mrs Aisha Buhari alongside other prominent Nigerians today, commissioned a new Orthopedic Hospital in Abuja. Mrs Aisha Buhar who was in the company of Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo was given the honour to do the cutting of the ribbon as she charged the new owners of the Hospital of International best practices and affordable health care at the Hospital. In her appreciation to the owners of the Hospital for setting up such a huge project that will benefit society, she requested for affordable services in order for their services to be accessible to those Nigerians that are more in need of the services they are going to offer.
The likes of former Minister and Peoples Democratic Party Chairman Board Of Trustees Mr Tony Anenih and former Governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko and Governor of Edo State Mr Godwin Obaseki were present for the ceremony in Abuja. The gathering seems more like that of the major opposition party in Nigeria, the PDP and wife of the President Mrs Aisha Buhari getting all the attention in their mist as the wife of the President.
This will not be the first time the wife of the President will be commissioning a project such as this, as she has been passionate about health-related issues, especially those health projects that can impact on the lives of women and children in the country positively. Only a few days ago, she alongside other wives of Nigerian politicians have gathered in Abuja to give a voice to the fight against Boko Haram Terrorists and the senseless kidnapping of women and children in the North East zone of the country.
The one day programme organised in Abuja was to say enough is enough on the issue of kidnapping of children, especially innocent girls trying to get an education for themselves in the country, and came up with a theme or phrase of “Leave Our Children Alone” hoping the terrorist would listen.
