In her own right, she is a Diva and does what a Diva will do and even surpass. That’s why we love Yemi Eberechi Alade, popularly known by her stage name, Yemi Alade-that Yoruba-Igbo girl.
Since taking her spot in the Nigerian Music Industry, she has taken the Afro Pop genre especially in male dominated genre to an all time high, with her songs being translated into different African languages. Though some have argued Yemi Alade is slowly losing her dominance to other female artiste such as Tiwa Savage, Seyi Sheyi and the rest, as she has been criticized of now ‘singing nonsense’ since her hot single, ‘Johnny’ shutdown the musical airwaves in Africa and beyond.
The Ondo state indigent who find it difficult to speak Yoruba but speaks fluently Igbo, due to her obvious closeness to her mother, if there is anything, has never failed to impress her fans with her sense of style. Though she has been accused of not taking her time in writing meaningful lyrics, if anything, she does take her time on her choice of outfit. While Tiwa Savage might be getting all the reviews for rocking Gucci and all, Singer Yemi Alade is getting noticed with how she toys with her African fabrics and stylish African hairdo.
I understand some of the frustration coming from some section of her fans, as regards what we knew of Yemi Alada and what she has or is becoming now. The only thing constant in life is change, and as an artiste if you do not change to meet the current realities, such an artiste will sure find him or herself lacking behind others, and this is evidence everywhere. It is either Yemi has totally changed her style and kind of music to appeal not just to Nigerians, but to the outside world, or other fellow female artistes are just too good that they seem to be drowning Yemi’s voice and popularity, that her style of music now seem…’nonsense’…lol
Anyways, the singer who has been on a musical tour in Paris France, shared some lovely photos from her latest shoot. Yemi spotting a white sleeve-less top, and a cream pant and jacket, took the shoot standing at the front of a gate. In one of the pictures, while making references to objects at the background, she said the fan at the background is her ‘number1’ and the pant cup as her ‘bucket’. 
In the other photo, she took the shoot standing while stretching backwards to grab hold to a cloth line with some African fabrics, which also acted as the background. See the photo:
