The wife of Kogi State Governor, Mrs Rashida Yahaya Bello accompanied by husband, the Governor himself, Yahaya Bello and other wives of Norther State Governors, to commission rehab and resource centre in Lokoja.
The first lady who had earlier played host to Wives of Northern Governors Forum, said the initiative was to curb drug abuse in the state, while also engaging patients in meaningful activities.
The centre which is multi purpose, will serve as rehab centre for drug offenders and also a training centre for them and other related activities….like a correction centre.
Drug abuse has become a fast killer of the future of our youths in Nigeria and this trend made us to take the fight against drug abuse one of our major priorities. This prompted the idea of Kogi State rehabilitation center which was commissioned by the First Lady of Bauchi state and the chair person of the Northern Governor’s wives forum.I appreciate the Northern Governor’s wives forum for their support in the actualization of the Kogi State rehabilitation and resource center.
