The Ex-Governor of Ekiti State Mr Ayo Fayose and Speaker Yakubu Dogara congratulate Rivers State Governor Wike for winning re-election for a second term as Governor of the oil-rich state.
Ayo Fayose and Speaker Yakubu Dogara congratulate Governor Wike via their separate social media handles.

Ayo Fayose taking to his twitter he said:
“I congratulate my friend and brother, Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike and the entire people of Rivers state for this sweet and historic victory over those forces of evil who for their own selfish reasons turned the state to a killing field.

That the people of Rivers State stood by Governor Wike and the PDP even in the face of death is a sign that Nigerians are capable of defeating tyranny and this will just be the beginning of more victories over the forces threatening the survival of democracy in our country.”

Speaker Yakubu Dogara congratulates with these few words:

“This is to specially congratulate His Excellency Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state on his re-election. The people of Rivers state spoke loudly and their will has finally prevailed Wike .”

Governor Nyesom Wike was declared the winner of the March 9 governorship election in the state after polling a total of 886,264 votes to defeat his closest rival and candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Biokpomabo Awara who garnered 173,859 votes.
