Popular celebrity, and businessman, Raymond Igbalodely famously known as Hush Puppi, has given his opinion on the proposed new National minimum wage, saying he is disappointed as how the President Muhammadu Buhari’s government are dragging the issue of implementation, even when it is just a mere N30,000 which is about $80 a month.

Taking to his social media page, he said:

“I really cannot believe the President of Nigeria, I mean a whole Nigeria cannot endorse the minimum wage of N30,000 which is less than a $100. It is such a shame that the President spends far over this amount for one meal, I can bet his family eats more than a thousand dollars per meal, but will not approve $80 for a month wage to a civil servant who have many mouths to feed in their households” Hush Puppi said.

President Buhari and his team only yesterday, avoided what would have been mother of all strikes, as the National Labour Congress and other Labour bodies had earlier threatened to shut down the economy if their demand of N30,000 national minimum wage is not agreed to by government. But after some meetings the bodies agreed on N30,000 naira, but it is yet to be implemented.
President Buhari while receiving the report of the committee set up to look into the minimum wage, said:
“I want to assure you all that we will immediately put in place the necessary machinery that will close out these open areas. Our plan is to transmit the Executive Bill to the National Assembly for passage within the shortest possible time. I am fully committed to having a new National Minimum Wage Act in the very near future.” he had said.
Hush Puppi continuing in his bashing of the President, continue with:

“Nigeria needs reformation. I wonder when they expect an average Nigerian to have a little taste of good life, I wonder how much and how long it will take for a civil servant to save up to buy an ordinary iPhone smh ?‍♂️”
