A suspected robber, has injured 4 persons when he opened fire at them at Regina Ceali Junction Awka, Anambra state.
The suspected robber identified as Chukwuemeka Afor was armed with an automatic pump action rifle and was said to have fired indiscriminately before allegedly snatching a bag containing N3.5million from one Mr Ebuka Ukeakpu.
The suspected was almost lynched by a mob before he was arrested by police.
The weapon and the money were recovered while the wounded persons were rushed to police hospital Awka, including the suspect who was badly beaten the crowd.
Police public relations officer in the state, Mr Haruna Muhammed said the victims were responding to treatment.
