U.S media mogul and talk show host, Oprah Winfrey has given her fans some update about her recovery after her fall on stage last week during a stop of her WW Presents Oprah’s 2020 Vision: Your Life in Focus. She took a stumble while she was ironically talking about ‘Balance’.
The mishap occurred as Winfrey was talking while on stage at The Forum in Inglewood, California.
Oprah Winfrey who shared a photo of her recovery on Instagram, was photographed sitting in her home reading a newspaper. She said was is icing her injuries with a what looks like a futuristic machine. She captioned the post with:
“Sunday Reading and icing. Thank you all for your kind wishes. Yes I slipped on stage and I’m now a meme. But so grateful to be only a little sore. Turning the day into what @michelleobama calls #selfcareSunday”
Oprah took a terrible spill on stage last week and landed very hard on her right side.
The talk show host has spoken on the ups and downs of her wellness journey while helping others on theirs. Along the way, she has welcomed celebrities such as Julianne Hough and Dwayne Johnson, speaking on their own experiences.
While speaking on her journey, she took a stumble back, teetered on her heels and then fell right on to the ground. She later revealed the amount of pain she was truly in by sharing an Instagram video of her interacting with her special guest Jennifer Lopez backstage at the tour stop.
In the post, Winfrey wrote, “Thank you to the astoundingly age-defiant Jennifer Lopez who came to the show in this yellow stunner and gave new meaning to the word 50.”
She went on to reference the now-infamous fall on stage.
The talk show host continued, “LA: You were lit! In spite of my fall (which now becomes a meme), you brought me UP with your energy. Now I’m headed home to ice my knee and ankle.”
While fans felt sorry for her for the fall, some have been trolling her, especially 50cent who also shared the video of Oprah taking a fall on stage on his Instagram page. He said she must have been hit by Michael Jackon and Kobe Bryant.
