Colin Kaepernick has landed himself a deal with Nike, as the Sports brand unveiled the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback  as the face of their ‘Just do it’ campaign as they celebrate their 30th anniversary.

The news is generating alot of buzz, because of the movement started by Colin Kaepernick, when in 2016 he sparked controversy by kneeling during the United States of America’s national anthem to protest racial injustice and Police brutality against black Americans.

Colin Kaepernick who lost his career after the incident, as he could not get a club to sign him, and not too long later the movement that started inside the locker, was taken on the pitch and in the open, as a few other NFL players followed suit as they started opting to kneel during Anthem before the game. They all started protesting the injustice being meted out to one of their own, while also criticizing President Donald Trump on his approach to the issue.

According to a report, Colin Kaepernick has been recognized by human rights body Amnesty International, and honoured with their highest award for his peaceful movement and fighting for human rights and justice.

Colin Kaepernick since the kneeling or not kneeling incident started and the NFL deliberately frustrating his move to find another team, has since filed a grievance against NFL team owners. He said he was suing them because they allegedly conspired not to hire him because of his protests, and on Thursday it was ruled that case can go to trial.

Nike’s 30th anniversary is celebrating all his athletes signed under its brand, and have released one or two images of their brand ambassadors as they celebrate their 30th anniversary.

Colin Kaepernick is promoting the ‘Just Do It’ slogan as his story perfectly fits the Nike campaign. This news has also seen celebrities all over the world, celebrating with Colin Kaepernick for the deal, with virtually all of them dropping the image to celebrate the man behind the take a kneel struggle in the NFL.
