The former Deputy Governor of Ogun State and one time Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial zone, Senator Adegbenga Sefiu Kaka is to officially declare his intention to run for the 2019 Ogun State Governorship race on Monday.
According to one of his aides Mr. Adejobi Oluwasegun Aidelohi who made this known a few hours ago via his social media page, the Senator will officially declare to run for the office of the Governor at the All Progressive Congress (APC) Party Secretariat, Abeokuta Ogun State on Monday 30th July 2018.
The Senator who represented Ogun East Senatorial zone in 2011-2015 will be relying heavily on his achievements as a Senator, his integrity, huge grassroots support in Ogun State and support from party leaders to clinch the party’s ticket at the forthcoming APC Governorship primaries that will be conducted.
Kaka who will be facing a stiff opposition to his Governorship ambition from current Governor, Ibekunle Amosun who is alleged to be in total control of the party’s machinery in the State, is trusting the leadership of the party both at State and National level, especially the newly elected National Executive of the APC under the able Leadership of Comrade Adams Oshiomole to clinch the Party’s ticket for the 2019 elections.
Mr. Adejobi sees Senator Kaka clinching the APC party ticket if the leadership of the party and Governor Amosun allows the will of the people to prevail in the forthcoming APC Governorship primaries in the state.
