The Labour Party candidate Peter Obi has paid a condolence visit to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state in Akure over the death of his mother, Lady Evangelist, Grace Akeredolu.
Peter Obi who is gearing up to officially launch his presidential campaign on Wednesday, along with other political parties, took to his official social media on Tuesday 27th September 2022, to post a series of photos from his visit to Governor Akeredolu in Akure.
In the photos, Peter Obi was photographed alongside Governor Akeredolu who is a member of the ruling party of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his wife Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu. And he captioned the photos saying:
“Today, I visited H.E. Gov. @RotimiAkeredolu of Ondo state, to condole with him on the passing of his mother. We also discussed the recent tragic killings in the Church in Owo, as well as some other burning national issues. -PO,” he said.
The Labour Party Presidential candidate Peter Obi was also at the Palace of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.
Lady Evangelist, Grace Akeredolu died at the age of 90.
