President Muhammadu Buhari meets with the Governors of Lagos, Benue, and Kaduna at the Presidential Villa on Monday. The President met separately with them behind closed doors, but details of these meetings were not made known at Press time.
Speaking to reporters after meeting with the President, the Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode said that he was in the villa to thank the President for his visit to Lagos State in April, where he inaugurated several projects.
On his part, the Governor of Benue State, Governor Ortom who most people were surprised to see at the Villa, after the political drama during the 2019 general elections, disclosed that he updated the president on the current security situation in Benue.
President Buhari also met with Mr Godwin Emefiele, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), where he was quoted as congratulating him over his re-appointment for another five-year term.
