Chelsea has officially confirmed the signing and arrival of Argentine forward, Gonzalo Higuain on a loan deal from Juventus/AC Milan until the end of season.
As reported by Marca, the conditions of his signing are the following: the ‘blues’ will pay 9 of the 18 million that Milan agreed with Juve for their summer loan . It also maintains the purchase option of 36 million euros that the milanistas agreed with the ‘Vecchia Signora’.
Higuain has two more years of contract with Juventus, but his return to Turin seems unfeasible.
The purchase option agreed with Chelsea is so easy to comply that it is almost mandatory.
If there were any of these three assumptions, Abramovich would have to pay the aforementioned 36 kilos: that Chelsea is third in Premier and that ‘El Pipita’ scores, at least, one goal; that Higuain scores 15 goals in the league or that the ‘blues’ win the Europa League and the former Real Madrid score five goals.
Higuain, who has scored eight goals in the half-year that has been at Milan, arrives at the Premier to meet again with Maurizio Sarri, the coach with whom he scored 36 goals in Serie A 2015-16 when he was playing for Napoli.
At 31 years old, and after playing in River Plate, Real Madrid, Napoli and Juventus, the ‘Pipita’ lands at Stamford Bridge.
