The Michigan Police are said to be conducting an investigation into a case involving the late legendary soul queen, Aretha Franklin and some alleged suspects who stole everything from her before her death.
According to the report by TMZ, the legal documents, obtained by from the police in Michigan shows the department is conducting an investigation into the theft of Aretha’s assets before she died.
The Police in their statement said the criminal probe involves someone inappropriately using her funds, and the said report was filed last June, but it’s unclear exactly how much money’s gone missing.
The late Queen of soul Aretha Franklin was said to be worth more but the figures are not known, as her finances have been under the microscope following her death.
The IRS is hounding her estate, claiming she owes more than $6.3 mil in back taxes and she has been dogging before her death.
The great American soul singer Aretha Franklin died at the age of 76, as she was reported to have been gravely ill.
In a statement released by her family announcing her death reads:
“In one of the darkest moments of our lives, we are not able to find the appropriate words to express the pain in our heart. We have lost the matriarch and rock of our family. The love she had for her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins knew no bounds,” Franklin’s family said.
