Gizzi Erskine struggled to contain her joy as she revealed her and partner Matt Turner are now engaged, sharing a sweet snap showing off her wedding ring.
The English TV chef, Gizzi Erskine 46, gushed she is getting married to the ‘love of her life’ in a newly-shared Instagram post as she gave fans the joyful news.
The food writer grinned from ear to ear as the musician stamped a smitten kiss on her cheek, while she showcased the dazzling rock on her finger for in the new selfie.
The proposal appeared to have played out unexpectedly, Gizzi Erskine told her followers, as the punk band Luxury Apartment’s singer got down one knee during a daily stroll.
‘Went out for a walk in my PJs to make wish on some laylines, then while we were wishing, he bent over to “tie up his shoe” and pulled out a rock.
‘WTAF. I’m getting Married to the love of my life. I can’t believe it. I know you lot are as invested in this love story as I am. I die,’ she captioned her latest post.
Pals from the showbiz world and fellow celebrities rushed in with their well wishes for the broadcaster, who’s love life has been somewhat chequered up to this point.

In the past Gizzi Erskine has had a relationship with The Klaxons bassist and vocalist Jamie Reynolds for several years before the pair broke up in 2016.
Around that same year, she was linked to rapper Professor Green – although it seemed the duo maintained a strong friendship over the years.
Gizzi – whose father is the late 2nd Baron Erskine of Rerrick is the author or several cookbooks, including Cook Yourself Thin – splits her time between London and Brighton, the home of her rockstar fiancé Matt.
The brunette beauty and Matt met three and a half years ago online and their relationship since has gone from strength to strength.
The couple currently live in East London’s Dalston with and reside with their cats, according to Grazia Daily UK.
In April of last year, she told the publication candidly: ‘Now I’m in a positive financial situation again and, mentally, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been.
‘I have managed to build a strong relationship with my partner [Matt], too.’
