British actor, Harris Dickinson who will play John Lennon in Sam Mendes’ forthcoming Beatles biopic, is settling down with singer Rose Gray, Daily Mail reports.

According to the report, Harris Dickinson has become engaged to his girlfriend, singer Rose Gray, who is 29.

Friends say the actor popped the question before Christmas, and the couple are ‘deliriously happy’ as they look forward to planning their wedding ahead of what is shaping up to be a very big year for them both.

Ms Gray, a graduate of the Brit School of performing arts, was shortlisted last month for the Critics’ Choice prize at the BRIT Awards, while Dickinson is expected to become one of Britain’s most talked-about young actors for his role as Lennon in The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event.

A friend of the couple said: ‘It is lovely to see – these are two young, hard-working people who are head over heels in love with one another – now they are officially engaged.

‘It’s lovely news, and they are both in the throes of early engagement happiness. These two are both going to be superstars. We are looking at Britain’s new power couple here.’

Harris Dickinson and Ms Gray live together in east London with their cat Misty Blue. They have also worked together, with Dickinson directing the music videos for her songs Blue and Afraid Of Nothing.

But fans may wonder just what Ms Gray made of her fiance’s intimate scenes with Ms Kidman.

Harris Dickinson said of his kinky sex scenes with the Oscar winner: ‘We’re so close that we can just be very direct, and I think she was the same with me, where if I had a crap idea, she’d say, ‘No, we’re not doing that’.

‘She is like the most comforting, warm performer to work across from.

‘She sets the tone on set, and she makes it so easy to be vulnerable and to be funny, because she is so daring.’

In a contrast to his previous role, Dickinson was last week filming scenes for Mendes’ four-movie saga in London with co-stars Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr.

Using The Athenaeum Club in Pall Mall as a backdrop, the film crew recreated midtown Manhattan in 1964 during The Beatles’ first visit to the United States for what would prove to be their career-defining appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show.
