Brighton midfielder Moisés Caicedo has confirmed that he is open to joining Chelsea, as he sees the London club as a big team.
According to the report by football transfer journalist, Fabrizio, Moisés Caicedo in a report credited to Journalist and Sports Presenter María José Flores, who granted an interview with the Brighton star, stated that the move is one he is looking up to, saying Chelsea: “It’s a big team, that’s true”. “A very historic team and I can’t say no because it’s a very big, historic, beautiful team. The city as well is beautiful”, he told Sports Presenter María José Flores.
Although talks are underway between Chelsea and Brighton over Moisés Caicedo, the Ecuadorian star is expected to be part of the Brighton squad that flies to the USA for the club’s pre-season tour.
Brighton are rumoured to have slammed a £100million prize tag on Caicedo, as Chelsea look to land the midfielder for a reason price.
Chelsea were interested in signing the Ecuador international in January while Arsenal had two bids rejected and he would go on to sign a new deal with Brighton instead.
Chelsea face Brighton in the USA Summer Series on July 22 in Philadelphia.
