Steven Tyler has split from his girlfriend of 11 years, according to a Friday report from TMZ. The 77-year-old rocker star and 38-year-old Aimee Preston parted ways at some point earlier this year, the site added.
But soon after the article was published, the site claimed that a source told them they are not broken up and are doing just fine.
The last time they were seen cuddling on the red carpet was at the Jam for Janie GRAMMY Awards Viewing Party at the Hollywood Palladium in February.
They were known for kissing, hugging and holding hands on red carpets.
The two met in 2012 when Steven Tyler hired the beauty to be his personal assistant but their romance did not begin until two years later.
She stayed by his side in May 2022 when he went back to rehab.
Steven Tyler had a relapse triggered by pain medication following foot surgery. The star voluntarily entered a treatment to focus on his health, causing Aerosmith to cancel some Las Vegas residency dates that year.
Steven Tyler has a long history with addiction and sobriety.
The Aerosmith singer is famously the father to actress Liv Tyler, whose mother is fashion model Bebe Buell.
Steven Tyler and his ex-wife Cyrinda Foxe, who divorced in 1987, share a daughter Mia Tyler.
He also shares a daughter Chelsea Anna Tallarico and son Taj Monroe Tallarico with Teresa Barrick, with whom he separated in 2005.
Steven was previously engaged to Erin Brady but they called things off in January 2013 before going on to meet Aimee.
In 2018, Steven was asked if he’d ever hit on one of daughter Liv’s movie star friends, during a game of Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts with Late Late Show host James Corden.
He admitted with a laugh: ‘Yes I have. And I got a lot of s**t for it too.’
He then told how he was seated next to Cameron Diaz – who is now married to Benji Madden – in a van on their way out of Stella McCartney’s bash and recalled: ‘I look at this beautiful woman.
‘I said, “Cameron, should you ever need someone to take you to the movies or you know, like, if I was to ask you to show me around London…”‘
