Kathy Hilton said she had to calm her half-sister Kyle Richards down after Mauricio Umansky was photographed kissing another woman.
“I think it was a hard pill to swallow seeing it,” the socialite told Page Six exclusively Monday at Sutton Stracke’s Sutton Green Label fashion show in Los Angeles.
“So what I’m trying to do is just kind of calm her down a little bit. ‘You know this was bound to happen. You’ve been separated,’” according to the report by Page Six

Hilton, 65, told us she reminded Richards, 55, that the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” OG frequently said Umansky, 54, could do “what he wants to do” while she lived her own life during their separation; however, Hilton noted that the real estate mogul’s new love interest, who was later identified as model and actress Nikita Kahn, “ran up and kissed him” at the Mykonos Airport last week.
The mom of four said she “knew” that they were “eventually going to see something” but admitted it still hurt to witness.
The images show Kahn, 33, running up to and embracing Umansky as he opens his arms to greet her with a smooch.
The viral photos appeared to upset Richards, as she removed “wife” from her Instagram bio upon seeing them. Her page now reads, “Mom, actor, author, producer, animal lover, a RHOBH , CAA.”
The “Halloween” actress also dropped “Umansky” from her Instagram in early May — almost one year after they announced their split after 27 years of marriage.
While the “Buying Beverly Hills” star has been seen partying with different women over the past year, Richards has been growing close to country music singer Morgan Wade.
The pair have sparked intense romance rumors, but the reality star always has denied them, insisting they are just friends.
