A university student handed her dissertation to Olivia Rodrigo to sign after meeting her at a concert.
Lorenza Sofrá attended her gig in Lisbon last week where she stood in the front row holding her hefty thesis.
She studied an economics and business at LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome according to The Tab.
Her dissertation explored the American singer’s career path and was titled: ‘Navigating the Modern Career Landscape: A Comparative Analysis of Olivia Rodrigo’s Career Trajectory and the Protean and Boundaryless Career Model.’
Olivia Rodrigo, 21, can be heard saying onstage: ‘Oh my gosh, there’s a sign that says “I wrote my bachelor’s degree thesis about you, can you sign it?”

‘F*** yes! Smart girl! Oh my god, I wonder what your work is about, wow.’
Lorenza then handed over her dissertation to Olivia, who signed it onstage and left her a special message on the front.
‘This is amazing. It’s so thick, it’s thicker than my own diary. Wow you’re so cool,’ Olivia said as the crowd cheered.
‘You’re so smart, you are making me feel smarter. Congrats smart girl!’
A rather emotional Lorenza was then filmed crying happy tears on the big screen as she reacted to her favourite pop star congratulating her on finishing her degree.
She handed the document back to Lorenza and it said: ‘All my love, thanks for coming’ along with a love heart and her signature.
She told the outlet: I was in shock and couldn’t believe it was happening. ‘I was completely overwhelmed, crying uncontrollably.’
‘Olivia is the only artist I am completely obsessed with and I never get tired of listening to her.
The video of Olivia Rodrigo signing the dissertation has racked up half a million views on TikTok, with users commenting their thoughts on the clip.
‘I feel a deep connection to her and her work, which is why I knew I wanted to include her in my thesis.’
Lorenza has followed Olivia since before the release of her hit song Driver’s License from her album Sour was released in 2021.
She feels as though she can strongly relate to the singer and says they have things in common, for example that were are both born in 2003 and are both the star sign Pisces.
Lorenza took a deep dive into Olivia’s career for her research project, which included speaking to Jennifer Dustman, Olivia’s vocal coach from when she was younger.
The graduate said that she offered ‘incredible insights’ into the early stages of Olivia’s career.
The video of Olivia signing the dissertation has racked up half a million views on TikTok, with users commenting their thoughts on the clip.
One wrote: ‘Sorry can I read it? Sounds really interesting.’
Another penned: ‘I’m writing mine on Taylor and All too Well.’
