Kelly Clarkson Says ‘No Regrets’ About ‘Difficult’ Divorce

Singer Kelly Clarkson has “no regrets” about ending her marriage to Brandon Blackstock, according to a report.

The exes have been locked in a bitter legal battle ever since their split nearly four years ago.

“She is doing really well,” a source close to the singer Kelly Clarkson told People. “She is happy that she left LA for NY She has the primary custody of the kids and is a great mom.”

The insider added that “although she loves working, the kids are her world,” and “she is very hands-on and fun.”

“The divorce was difficult, but she recovered quickly and has no regrets,” they added.

The “Kelly Clarkson Show” host, 41, filed for divorce from Blackstock in June 2020 after seven years of marriage.

The pair who share daughter River Rose, 9, and son Remington Alexander, 7, finally settled their split in March 2022 after two years of court battles.

After they finalized their divorce in 2022, Clarkson was ordered to give Blackstock a one-time payment of $1.3 million, plus $150,000 per month in spousal support and $45,601 per month in child support.

Earlier this month, Clarkson sued Blackstock again just months after winning a $2.6 million ruling against him last fall.

She accused her ex and his father Narvel Balckstock’s management company, Starstruck Entertainment, of violating California labor laws, specifically the Talent Agencies Act, by acting as an “unlicensed talent agency” that booked business deals on her behalf dating back to 2007.

In June last year, singer Kelly Clarkson told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe that she “did not handle [the divorce] well.”

“I don’t know how people get through anything like that because I’m not going to say I did it gracefully. Behind closed doors by myself, it was not,” she said, admitting she tried to put on a happy face.

“When you’re in it … I’m like, ‘I can do this,’” Clarkson told host Glennon Doyle on the “We Can Do Hard Things” podcast. “I can handle so much. I can control my actions. I can control my reactions.”

“I can do this and I can reach this person and I can get through. And it becomes a little bit of your ego that gets in the way.”
