Grammy-nominated Afrobeats singer Davido in collaboration with his foundation, David Adeleke Foundation (DAF) is once again doling out N300 million to orphanage homes across Nigeria, as he promised to give out the details of the distribution in his next post on Wednesday.

The Afrobeats singer Davido taking to his official social media handle on Tuesday 20th February 2024, posted a message about his donation that reads:

I and my foundation pledge the sum of 300 million naira to orphanages around Nigeria as my yearly contribution to the nation details of disbursement tomorrow,” he said.

This will not be the first time that the Afrobeat singer will be making this kindhearted gesture as only last year, during his birthday he donated funds given to him by friends amounting to N237 million and in the previous year, N250 million to charity.

In 2021, he made a personal donation of N50 million to make a total figure of N250 million and said then that the money would all go as donations to orphanages across Nigeria. The only difference this time is that he did not give how this N300 million was raised, but we will wait to see if that information will be shared tomorrow when he gives details of how the distribution would be made.

DAF Foundation was founded in 2022 to assist the less privileged and ever since then it has been a great success in raising and distributing funds to improve the lives of many children.

The foundation is committed to uplifting and supporting vulnerable communities in Nigeria through ongoing charitable works, reaching out to compensate Nigerians for support and raising a substantial sum.

In 2023, Afrobeat star Davido donated the sum of N237 million to 424 orphanage homes in Nigeria, benefiting a total of 13,818 children across the country.
