Singer Trey Songz is said to have denied allegations that he beat up a woman in New York last month, calling the claims a BS, TMZ reports.
TMZ reports that sources from NYPD revealed to the tabloid that the alleged victim filed a report in late October, claiming singer Trey Songz punched her in the face repeatedly while inside a bowling alley bathroom.
TMZ report also revealed that the woman also alleged that the singer Trey Songz dragged her by her hair and that she was taken to the hospital for what cops noted were visible minor injuries.
The woman is a worker at this establishment, but it’s unclear what might have precipitated this. There is not much context beyond her account, TMZ sources had said. The sources also told the tabloid that the woman recognized Trey and identified him by name to the police after the fact.
TMZ reported that Trey was sued for rape recently, but the case was dismissed over a statute of limitations. There have been other instances of alleged sexual impropriety attributed to the singer as well, all of which he has denied and characterized as a shakedown.
He’s also been accused of being violent with people, including women in the past.
Mitchell Schuster, Trey’s legal rep, in a statement said: “A source close to the investigation informs us that TS has been cooperative with authorities and expects that when all the evidence is reviewed, he will be exonerated. This is another instance where those involved try to blame the celebrity with hopes of getting fame or riches.”
