The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, whose wife was alleged to be friends with one Prof Zainab Duke Abiola, who ordered her housemaid to beat up a female Police Orderly attached to her, has strongly condemned the grievous act, calling for an express prosecution of the already arrested culprits.
In the latest statement released on Thursday 22nd September 2022, by Nigeria Police through its Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Prince Olumuyiwa Adejbobi, stated the IGP has ordered an investigation into the beat up of Inspector Teju Moses, by her principal who is a Legal practitioner and human rights activist, Prof Zainab Duke Abiola and her domestic staff comprising the house maid, one Rebecca Enechido and a male suspect currently at large.
According to the Force Public Relations Officer, Prince Olumuyiwa Adejbobi, the culprit, Prof Zainab Duke, an Mbaise born activist, grievously assaulted her orderly Inspector Teju Moses in the company of some accomplices on Tuesday 20th September 2022, at her residence in Garki, Abuja, due to the refusal of the orderly to breach professional ethics by carrying out menial and domestic chores at her house.
Prince Olumuyiwa Adejbobi also stated that the IGP has directed the express prosecution of the arrested suspects who are currently in Police custody, as the preliminary investigation shows overwhelming evidence of culpability on the part of the Professor and her domestic staff.

The reaction by the IGP is coming after a tweet shared on Wednesday 21st September 2022, by one Kenny Adewole, a Journalist, Alleged that the Professor from area 11 who ordered the assault on her Orderly, had allegedly ordered her domestic staff to beat up the Police Orderly as nothing will happen because she is a friend to the wife of Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba.
