Brazilian international, Richarlison has said his final goodbyes to Everton fans, after his £60million-plus move to Spurs.
Richarlison who was chased by the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal before signing for Spurs, taking to his official social media handle on Friday 1st July 2022, while saying that it was difficult to say goodbye, thanked the fans for making him feel at home during his time at Everton.
He said:
“It’s very difficult to say goodbye to a place that has become my home; fans who welcomed as if I were one of them; and a club that treated me kindly and helped me develop my sense of community and empathy. Neither all the love I have is enough to thank you. Love you!,” he had said captioning a series of photos of his time at the club.
Spurs are expected to commit to an initial package in the region of £50million, with a further £10m in add-ons bringing the total outlay to around £60m for the player.
The Brazilian who will be joining Conte, and the likes of Son and Harry Kane, signed for Everton in 2018 from Watford.
Richarlison netted 10 goals and laid on five assists in the Premier League last season for Everton and was a rare bright spark in a difficult campaign. He scored 43 goals in 135 league appearances for the Toffees.
The Hornets had signed Richarlison for £11.5m from Brazilian side Fluminense in 2017.
He made his senior international debut for Brazil in September 2018 as a second-half substitute in their 2-0 win over the United States and has gone on to make 36 appearances, scoring 14 goals.
In 2019, he was named in the 23-man squad for the Copa America and scored in the final as Brazil won the tournament for the first time since 2007.
He also played at the rescheduled 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, finishing as the tournament’s leading scorer with five goals as his side won gold.
