Princess Charlene of Monaco seems to have confirmed her return after a prolong absence, as she shared her first official portrait with her family for Easter. 

After months of a long absence due to health problems, Charlene de Monaco seems to have returned to her duties. The principality unveiled on Sunday a portrait of the princess surrounded by her husband, Prince Albert II, and their children Jacques and Gabriella, on the occasion of the Easter holidays. This is the first official photo of the princely family since the princess returned to the Rock in mid-March, AFP revealed.

“Happy Easter”, simply writes Princess Charlene of Monaco in the caption of the photo, published on her Instagram account.

People also reported that the photo was taken within the palace, near the family swimming pool installed by Prince Rainier III.

Princess Charlene Of Monaco Prolonged Absence:

According to the report by AFP, the 44-year-old wife of Prince Albert of Monaco returned on November 8 from South Africa, the country where she grew up and of which she is a national.

She had just spent months there and had undergone surgery there under general anesthesia at the beginning of October, the last in a series of operations decided upon following an otolaryngological infection.

On November 23, a source close to the Palace told AFP that the former Olympic swimmer had been admitted “to a specialized establishment following great fatigue linked to her weakness”, an establishment located in Switzerland , according to concurring sources. A month later, a press release from the prince’s palace specified that the recovery of the princess ” should still take a few months “.

During this long period, Charlene of Monaco hardly appeared and remained absent from several official events. On March 12, finally, the prince’s palace announced his return to Monaco, stating that “the next few weeks should allow him to recover completely in order to be able to gradually resume his official activities”.
