The member representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency, Oyo, in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly, Hon. Shina Peller has reacted to Alao Akala’s death, as he paid a condolence visit to the family on Thursday.
Hon Shina Peller while reacting to Alao-Akala’s death, in a statement released and signed on Friday 14th January 2022, on his official social media handle, said:
“Yesterday, I paid a condolence visit to the family of my late political leader and father, Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala, the former governor of Oyo state whose painful exit occurred on Wednesday,” he said.
He continued:
“I seized the opportunity to identify with the deceased’s wife, children, entire family and the people of Ogbomosoland and to let them know that my thoughts and prayers are with them always.
Importantly, I reminded them that though baba’s exit is painful to us all, we should take solace in the fact that he lived a purposeful life and that his legacy lives on.
Once again, may the soul of our dear leader find peace with God, and I pray that God grants us all the fortitude to bear his loss. Amen. Adieu the Tiger!!!,” he added.
The former governor of Oyo State, Christopher Alao-Akala’s death was announced two days ago by Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.
He died at the age of 71.
Alao-Akala was a former governor of Oyo State and sought re-election under the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in the 2019 governorship election in the state.
