Prof Chukwuma Soludo, the Anambra State Governor-elect, and the entire Soludo family are celebrating their father, grandfather and great-grandfather PA Simeon Soludo at 90.
The incoming Governor of Anambra state, shared photos from a thanksgiving service celebrating the PA Simeon Soludo on his official social media handle on Thursday 30th December 2021. The photos showed Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, other members of the Soludo family and political associates who all joined in the celebration on Wednesday 29th December 2021.
“…yesterday was a day of thanksgiving for the entire Soludo family who came together to appreciate God for the life of our Patriarch who just turned 90,” the captioned the photos he shared.
He continued in his caption by adding that:
“I call it the “glorious 90”. We do not take the grace of God for granted, particularly as my Dad at 90 exudes high spirit, and wields uncommon strength.
To our friends who joined us in this moment of joy, we express profound gratitude to them, even as we pray to God to grant them the blessings of successful ageing.

A Mass was held at the celebrant’s compound and presided over by the Catholic Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese, Most Reverend Peter Okpalakeke.
Some of the Soludo family in attendance were children of the celebrant, Mr Emmanuel Ikechukwu Soludo, Pastor (Dr) Ogochukwu Soludo, Mr Kenneth Soludo and others.
Other dignitaries that graced the occasion include: Senator (Dr) Victor Umeh (Ohamadike), former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and former APGA National Chairman; Prof Solo Chukwulobelu, Secretary to the State Government of Anambra State, Chief Ifeoma Ekwueme, wife of the former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; Chief Neville Uchendu (Mayor of Atlanta) and several others.
Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) was the winner of the 2021 Anambra gubernatorial election, on November 10th 2021.
Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo won 19 of the 21 Local Governments election results declared by INEC.
The APGA governorship candidate polled 112,229 votes to defeat Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who garnered 53,807 votes to emerge second, while Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress (APC) got 43,285 votes to emerge third.
All things being equal, Soludo will be sown on March 17th 2022, when the tenure of the current Governor Obiano of Anambra State will come to an end, after a 2-term of 8-years.
