Grichka Bogdanoff one of the two Bogdanoff brothers, known for having hosted the popular science program “Temps X” in the 1980s, has just died at the age of 72, AFP reports.
The death of Grichka Bogdanoff, twin brother of Igor, an animator in the field of popularization of science was announced on Tuesday.
According to the report by AFP, a statement released by his family through their agent about the sad news, reads:
“Surrounded by the love of his family and his relatives, Grichka Bogdanoff passed away peacefully on December 28, 2021, to join his stars.”

Bogdanoff brothers became famous in the 1980s at the helm of the popular science program Temps X , on TF1. The show, launched in 1979, broadcast series such as The Fourth Dimension , The Prisoner or The Invaders . And the Bogdanoff brothers, dressed in futuristic suits, evoked the technological advances of the time and science fiction. The show marked a whole generation of viewers.
Born in August 1949 in the Gers, the twins with their very mysterious biography have made popular science and science fiction their favourite field. Animators from the 1980s to 2000, the inseparable Bogdanoff brothers then roam the TV and radio shows and entertainment programs, willingly playing with their often mocked image, as in this clip with Cyril Hanouna, entitled.
Controversies:
Their scientific background is, however, very controversial. In 2003, the CNRS had pinned in a report the two brothers for their doctoral theses deemed not very rigorous.
Regarding Grichka’s thesis, the report stated: “One of the eight chapters of this thesis contains the construction of those that can be found in a DEA or even a master’s thesis, but very poorly written. The other seven do not contribute much. nothing in mathematics “.
More recently, Grichka Bogdanoff had been, alongside her brother, involved in a fraud case. In early January 2021, the Bogdanoffs had thus been sent back to correctional services for “swindling” a millionaire suffering from bipolar disorder.
Their last public appearance dates back to November 20, at the Salle Gaveau in Paris,where they led a debate on the occasion of the publication of the book God, Science, Evidence, by Michel-Yves Bolloré and Olivier Bonnassies.
Grichka Bogdanoff had no children.
