Prince William And Harry Deny Reports Of Strain In Their Relationship

Princes William and Harry deny reports that there is a strain in their relationship, as the alleged Prince William’s “bullying attitude” toward his brother and Meghan Markle have seen them wanting to have a separate life away from the Royal family.

Prince William and Harry deny reports by some newspapers in the UK on Monday, who had made the rumour part of their headline, as they described the story as offensive and potentially harmful as they embark on talks regarding the future of the British monarchy.

The brothers issued a rare joint statement Monday, saying, “Despite clear denials, a false story ran in a UK newspaper today speculating about the relationship between the Duke of Sussex and the Duke of Cambridge.”

The statement continues: “For brothers who care so deeply about the issues surrounding mental health, the use of inflammatory language in this way is offensive and potentially harmful.”

The story suggested they had a falling out because William hasn’t been friendly toward Meghan, and came on the eve of Queen Elizabeth’s emergency meeting at her Sandringham Estate. The Queen is holding a summit with Prince Charles, William and Harry to discuss how the family moves forward after Harry and Meghan’s bombshell announcement they’re stepping down from “senior” royal responsibilities.

Harry and Meghan revealed their desire to become financially independent and split time between the UK and Canada. The plan is off to a promising start with Meghan already getting some work in with Disney, and Harry’s executive producing gig with Oprah.

Meghan, who is in Canada with the couple’s baby son Archie, is likely to join the meeting by phone.

Buckingham Palace said “a range of possibilities” would be discussed, but the queen was determined to resolve the situation within “days, not weeks.” The goal was to agree on next steps at Monday’s gathering, which follows days of talks among royal courtiers and officials from the U.K. and Canada. Buckingham Palace stressed, however, that “any decision will take time to be implemented.”
