Kenechukwu Okeke’s murder suspect is said to have been charged to court and was subsequently remanded in a correctional facility in Anambra State.
Kenechukwu Okeke’s murder suspect, according to the statement released on Thursday 9th December 2021, by Anambra State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ikenga Tochukwu, the suspect was identified as a 29-year-old Chiadikobi Nnaji.
Recall, following the murder incident that took place in Nkpor on 28th October 2021 which also trended on social media, the Commissioner of Police, Anambra Command, *CP Echeng Echeng* had then ordered the immediate arrest of persons linked to the murder.
The order resulted in the investigation and arrest of Chiadikobi Nnaji.
The *CP* thanked members of the public, especially family members of the deceased as well as their well-wishers for their various support which led to the arrest of the suspect.
The CP also assures that the Command will always live up to expectations in the discharge of its statutory responsibilities.
Okeke was said to have been macheted by his attackers numbering seven.
The controversial activist who had dragged many celebrities and media outfits, including CNN to court for defaming President Muhammadu Buhari and his administration was killed in Nkpor, near Onitsha, Anambra State, in the presence of his wife, Mrs Blessing Odinakachi Okeke and his little daughter.
