EndSARS Killings: Reno Labels Omotola Jalade 'Omoshameless Character

Reno Omokri has hit hard at veteran Nollywood actress and singer, Omotola Jalade for her old tweets on the Lekki tollgate shooting, while reacting to the Lagos State EndSARS Report.

The controversial social media commentator, and former aide to the former President Goodluck Jonathan who has been reacting to the Lagos State Judicial panel on EndSARS reports which vindicated EndSARS protesters, and Reno Omokri himself on the Lekki Tollgate shooting, urged Nigerian youths not to forget those that stood their grounds in the face of dangers from the Nigeria Police and other security agents.

Reno Omokri who had earlier said that President Muhammadu Buhari will retire to prison and not to his village in Daura praised the likes of Mr Macaroni, Falz and DJ Switch for the roles they played in the EndSARS protests in 2020. But he also did not spare those he referred to as ‘useless yeyebrities’ in their role in denying the EndSARS killings, especially that of the Lekki tollgate in Lagos.

He said:

“Nigerians must never forget the useless yeyebrities, who used their so called sexiness and celebrity to deny that the #LekkiMassacre ever occurred. Their actions must have consequences, or it will keep reoccurring. God bless @falzthebahdguy, @mrmacaroni1 and @djswitch_,who stayed true,” he said.

Reno Omokri taking a dig at Omotola Jalade, said:

“…while some Omoshameless character, who does not know how to use her celebrity to promote anything that does not involve sex, was dancing on the graves of those courageous youths who sacrificed their lives during #EndSARS so that her children can have a better Nigeria!,” he said.

What Omotola Jalade Said About The EndSARS Killings?

Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde had during the EndSARS protests, tweeted saying:

”If People died during the Lekki Toll Assault, let their people speak out please and if there were No deaths then enough with the sensationalization because it does not remove from the Crime that happened. PEACEFUL PROTESTERS WERE ATTACKED. WHY? BY WHOM! #EndImpunityinNigeria”.

The now-deleted tweet angered some Nigerians and they blasted her for using ”if” and being insensitive to those who lost someone during the protests.

She also apologised after she was dragged, where she said that her words were drawn from a different context. Omotola hoped that Nigeria remembers that she was on their side and even protested.

”I hope you know I don’t doubt people died! I hope you understand that we need to collate these now and not continue with the I’m disappointed I’m leaving talks. Get Angry again. We Can’t stop.”
