Jussie Smollett's Case: 50cent Mocks 'Empire' Actor Again!

Popular rapper and movie producer, Curtis James Jackson III, who is best known as 50cent, has reacted to the latest news from Jussie Smollett’s case. And this time, he did not hold back, as in an early morning post on Sunday, he took a dig at the former Empire star actor, for losing his appeal for his criminal case to be dismissed.

50cent reacting to Jussie Smollett’s case where a judge denied his request to dismiss his criminal case related to allegations he lied to police about being the victim of a racist and homophobic hate crime, said the actor is always smiling but he is crying inside.

50cent who seems to have taken over the black entertainment world, with his TV series, taking to his Instagram handle on Sunday 17th October 2021, posted a screenshot of a headline from a news website showing Jussie Smollett, with a caption that reads:

“Yeah he smiling but he crying in the side. SMH He was trying to shine, it’s hard to shine when I’m out here,” he said.

But the co-producer of the Black Mafia Family TV series was not done, as he went further to take a swipe at the TV Series, ‘Empire. He said:

“Empire who? Empire How? LOL It’s The Power Uiverserse,” he added.

A lot of fans agreed with 50cent, as they trooped to his page with over a 25million followers to register their agreement with him.

Jussie Smollett’s Case: The Latest Development?

According to the report by nbcnews on Saturday, stated that the actor’s last-ditch effort to have a judge dismiss his criminal case related to allegations he lied to police about being the victim of a racist and homophobic hate crime was denied.

An attorney for the former “Empire” actor said Smollett’s rights were being violated since he had already performed community service and forfeited a $10,000 bond under a previous deal to drop charges in Cook County.

“A deal is a deal. That’s an ancient principle,” attorney Nenye Uche said in court on Friday.

But judge James Linn said Jussie Smollett’s case is now was being led by a special prosecutor appointed by another judge and he would not upset that arrangement.

In February of 2019, Smollett was charged with felony disorderly conduct for allegedly making a false report to Chicago police.

In January 2019, he told officers that he had been attacked by two men who hurled racial and homophobic slurs at him and wrapped a rope around his neck in the upscale neighbourhood of Streeterville.

Police initially investigated it as an alleged hate crime, but were unable to find any video evidence of the incident. After speaking with two persons of interest, brothers Ola and Abel Osundairo, authorities shifted the investigation into whether Smollett paid the brothers to stage an assault.

According to former Chicago police Superintendent Eddie T. Johnson, Smollett staged the attack on himself in order to “promote his career” and paid the Osundairo brothers $3,500 to help him orchestrate it.

A lawyer for the brothers previously said they “have tremendous regret over their involvement in this situation.”

“They understand how it has impacted people across the nation, particularly minority communities and especially those who have been victims of hate crimes themselves,” the lawyer said.

A grand jury indicted Smollett in March 2019 of disorderly conduct for making a false report but all charges were unexpectedly dropped just weeks later, sparking outrage. The case, however, was revived by the special prosecutor and Smollett was again charged with disorderly conduct.

His attorney previously tried to have the case dismissed, but said Smollett wants “nothing more than to go to a jury and clear his name.”

Was He Dropped From Empire?

In 2019, Lee Daniels who is the co-creator of the popular FOX TV series ‘Empire’ while reacting to a tweet puts out by Variety magazine on the possible return of Jussie Smollett, said it is not true that the actor was returning, as Season six and final season is set to be released.

Variety magazine in their tweet had said:

‘Empire’ Writers Prepping for Jussie Smollett’s Return in Season 6″

Lee Daniels replied emphatically, saying:

“This is not factual,” Daniels tweeted. “Jussie will NOT be returning to Empire.”

50Cent’s Reactions To Jussie Smollett’s Case In 2019?

This will not be the first time 50cent will be making fun of the Empire actor, as in 2019 when the news first broke that the Empire actor was indicted for allegedly filing a false police report in Chicago, 50cent who had initially voiced out his support for the actor, took to his official Instagram handle to rescind his support by sharing a meme of Smollett that mocks the actor’s claim that he’s the “gay Tupac.”

Smollet had claimed that he survived a racist, homophobic attack from MAGA supporters.

While also addressing the crowd during his first performance after he was released from the hospital in Chicago, he likened it to ‘Pac’s life.

“I was bruised but my ribs were not cracked. They were not broken. I went to the doctor immediately,” he said. “I was not hospitalized. Both my doctors in L.A. and Chicago cleared me to perform but said to take care, obviously and, above all, I fought the fuck back. I’m the gay Tupac.”

50cent reacting to all of this back then in 20219, said:

“It’s 2019 people, things are a little different now,” 50 said in his Instagram caption. “Commander Emanuel Gonzalez would say, if you see him shoot him on sight.

The meme features the cover of ‘Pac’s All Eyez on Me LP with Jussie’s face photoshopped over the late rapper’s emotionless mean mug with the words “Gay 2Pac” replacing the album title. 50’s meme stems from Smollett’s assertion that he’s the “gay Tupac”
