Tems’ new album ‘If Orange Was A Place’ will be out on Wednesday 14th September 2021, she confirmed on her social media handle on Monday.

The social media post by the singer on Monday, features the official album cover, and the tracklist of the new album.

Tems’ new album which is expected to drop on Wednesday, is just a five-track EP, which was mostly written by the singer, and produced by Guilty Beatz, with her being the executive producer alongside Wale Davies and Muyiwa Awoniyi.

On September 6, 2021, Tems had announced on her official social media handle that her sophomore EP is set to drop.

The announcement came via her Twitter handle, where she wrote: “My beautiful gang, thank you for the massive love you’ve shown me. It’s too plenty. Honestly, believe me when I say I love y’all baaaaaddd. NEW EP OUT NEXT F*CKIN WEEK!!! It’s time...”

Tems’ new album has the following tracks:

Track 1 Crazy tings, Track 2 Found Featuring Brent Faiyaz, Track 3 Replay, Track 4 Avoid Things, and Track 5 Vibe Out.

Tems’ new album is dropping a few days after she had dropped ‘Crazy tings’ on Friday 10th September 2021, after a few days of teasing her fans on her social media about the yet to be released song and album.

The alternative R&B sensation is dropping the new album a few days after she revealed that she has been featured in Drake’s Certified Lover Boy album. The news was also confirmed by Drake, who commented on her social media post about her font side on the track ‘Fountains’.

Hey Nigeria TEMS is on CLB,” the billboard ad reads.

On her Instagram page, Tems, shared a video of the billboard:

Mans said Nigerians must see TEMS in large font!! CLB on tha wayyy @champagnepapi,” she wrote in the caption.

For Certified Lover Boy, Tems joins Drake on the Afrobeats-inspired 14th track titled “Fountains”.

I got nothing to admire, taste certain/Baby, longing you make me feel something/I got my eyes on you, pull down the curtain/I’ll be patient with you, no more fighting,” Tems sings on the chorus.

As part of the promotional campaign for Certified Lover Boy, similar billboard ads were spotted in the home cities of those that featured in the album.

An Atlanta billboard announced 21 Savage, Future, Lil Baby, and Young Thug, a Chicago billboard announced Lil Durk, and a New York City billboard announced the ‘GOAT’, which was assumed, and later confirmed, to be Jay-Z. A Memphis billboard announced Yebba and Project Pat. Both Giveon and Ty Dollar Sign were announced on a California billboard. As the reveal continued, a Cleveland billboard announced Kid Cudi, a Miami billboard announced Rick Ross, a Houston billboard announced Travis Scott, and another Toronto billboard announced Lil Wayne, who Drake coined as the “best rapper alive”.

That is not all for Tems, as the song in which she was featured in, “Essence” by Wizkid, was also sampled in a remix by Justin Bieber.

“Essence” is off the Made in Lagos album last year. The critically acclaimed song became the first Nigerian song in history to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard Global 200. The official remix featured Justin Bieber.
