Beyonce’s latest social media post, has got fans talking and confused about whether or not the singer was making a pregnancy announcement.
Well, we thought the same thing too initially, with Beyonce’s latest post on Tuesday morning. She made the post of a loved up photo of her husband Jay-Z and herself with the rappers’ arms wrapped around her as she supports him with her arms.
While millions of her fans were left wondering what the photo meant, and whether or not she was making a pregnancy announcement, the singer dropped two videos on her Instagram page.
The video which seems to be a recent video, saw the singer dancing and drinking a glass of champagne together with her husband.
In the other video from Beyonce’s latest social media post, she is spotted sitting embellished in a lovely sleeveless black dress and holding hands with her man and father of her children, with him laughing and looking into her eyes asking her whether she wants to re-engage him. She held on to his hands saying yes I want to re-engage you for twenty years.
“I want an engagement ring,” Jay-Z says to Beyoncé while admiring his Tiffany & Co. diamond ring. “You want to engage me?”
“So pretty,” she responds, also admiring the ring. “I will engage you.”
That was when I guess, it dawned on her fans watching the clips that the initial photo and videos assumed to be pregnancy news, was actually an advert. This was confirmed by a report by Essence magazine on Monday.
According to the report by Essence, the video is Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s highly anticipated Tiffany & Co. campaign video.
The report by Essence stated that the video directed by acclaimed filmmaker Emmanuel Adjei, tagged ‘About Love’ sees the couple longing for one another while separated by distance. Filmed at Los Angeles’ famed Orum Residence, a location personally selected by the Carters, the film features stripped-down and raw moments of intimacy between the couple, capturing the indescribable chemistry between them.
As part of their collaboration, Tiffany & Co. has also paired with The Carters on philanthropic endeavors. The jewel house has partnered with BeyGOOD and the Shawn Carter Foundation to form the About Love Scholarship Program, pledging $2 million in scholarship funding for students pursuing the arts and creative fields at five hand-selected Historically Black Colleges and Universities: Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, Norfolk State University in Virginia, Bennett College in North Carolina, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, and Central State University in Ohio.
About Love will continue to unfold later this year with additional films from directors Derek Milton and Dikayl Rimmasch. The production team is rounded out with glam from wardrobe stylists June Ambrose and Marni Senofonte, makeup artist Sir John Barnett, and hairstylists Jawara Wauchope and Nakia Rachonand.
