It’s been 20 years since the passing of the mother of veteran Nollywood actress Rita Dominic, her family especially the actress continues to miss her.
The actress Rita Dominic taking to her official Instagram handle to celebrate her late mother on what would have been her birthday on Monday 13th September 2021, posted a series of throwback photos of her mother. The series of photos shared were from her mother’s wedding day, showing her late mother and father on their special day.
Posting the photos, she captioned them saying:
“Our beautiful Mother on her wedding day.
We remember her fondly today on her birthday. Mummy you are always in our thoughts and hearts even 20 years on from when you left us. Dance and sing with the angels above today mummy and we will join you in great celebration when we meet you again.
We miss and love you always.
Love from your children, grandchildren, sons and daughter in law,” she said.
Rita Dominic is celebrating her mother’s posthumous birthday, a few days after she announced the passing of her mother-in-law, Joy Anosike.
In a tribute to the mother of her fiance, Fidelis Anosike, 44-year-old veteran Nollywood actress taking to her Instagram handle, wrote:
“A matriarch goes home. May your beautiful soul rest in peace Mama. You fought to the end. God knows best,” she wrote.
Mrs Anosike’s death was announced in a statement released by the family on Thursday.

Rita announced her relationship and engagement with the media entrepreneur, Fidelis Anosike, in an Instagram post in December 2020.
