Temilade Openiyi, who is better known as Tems, has finally dropped her new music single she titled Crazy tings.
The singer dropped Crazy tings on Friday 10th September 2021, after a few days of teasing her fans on her social media about the yet to be released song.
The alternative R&B sensation is dropping the new single a few days after she revealed that she has been featured in Drake’s Certified Lover Boy album. The news was also confirmed by Drake, who commented on her social media post about her font side on the track ‘Fountains’.
“Hey Nigeria TEMS is on CLB,” the billboard ad reads.
On her Instagram page, Tems, shared a video of the billboard:
“Mans said Nigerians must see TEMS in large font!! CLB on tha wayyy @champagnepapi,” she wrote in the caption.
For Certified Lover Boy, Tems joins Drake on the Afrobeats-inspired 14th track titled “Fountains”.
“I got nothing to admire, taste certain/Baby, longing you make me feel something/I got my eyes on you, pull down the curtain/I’ll be patient with you, no more fighting,” Tems sings on the chorus.
As part of the promotional campaign for Certified Lover Boy, similar billboard ads were spotted in the home cities of those that featured in the album.
An Atlanta billboard announced 21 Savage, Future, Lil Baby, and Young Thug, a Chicago billboard announced Lil Durk, and a New York City billboard announced the ‘GOAT’, which was assumed, and later confirmed, to be Jay-Z. A Memphis billboard announced Yebba and Project Pat. Both Giveon and Ty Dollar Sign were announced on a California billboard. As the reveal continued, a Cleveland billboard announced Kid Cudi, a Miami billboard announced Rick Ross, a Houston billboard announced Travis Scott, and another Toronto billboard announced Lil Wayne, who Drake coined as the “best rapper alive”.
That is not all for Tems, as the song in which she was featured in, “Essence” by Wizkid,was also sampled in a remix by Justin Bieber.
“Essence” is off the Made in Lagos album last year. The critically acclaimed song became the first Nigerian song in history to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard Global 200. The official remix featured Justin Bieber.
