Ronaldo confirms Juventus exit, a few hours after news broke that he has left the club he joined in 2018 in search of another club in England.
His message to Juventus fans and club on Friday 27th August 2021, is also coming a few minutes after his former club, Manchester United confirmed on their social media handle that the Portuguese forward is returning to Old Trafford.
Cristiano Ronaldo confirms Juventus exit on Friday, when he posted a video of himself on his social media page, with an emotional caption that reads:
“Today I depart from an amazing club, the biggest in Italy and surely one of the biggest in all of Europe. I gave my heart and soul for Juventus and I’ll always love the city of Turin until my final days.
The “tiffosi bianconeri” always respected me and I tried to thank that respect by fighting for them in every game, every season, every competition.
In the end, we can all look back and realize that we achieved great things, not all that we wanted, but still, we wrote a pretty beautiful story together.
“Juve, storia di un grande amore
Bianco che abbraccia il nero
Coro che si alza davvero
Juve per sempre sara…”
I will always be one of you. You are now part of my history, as I feel that I’m part of yours. Italy, Juve, Turin, tiffosi bianconeri, you’ll always be in my heart,” he added.
The message by Cristiano Ronaldo, is coming after a report from renowned football journalist, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that he will be joining Manchester United, after Manchester City dropped their interest in the former Real Madrid man.
According to Fabrizio, the agreement has been completed, and Manchester United will pay around €20m plus add ons to Juventus for Cristiano as a fee.
He also reported that Cristiano has accepted the Manchester United contract bid and he’s now set to sign paperwork once everything will be completed.
He also confirmed that medical to be scheduled in the next hours, as CR7 is now in Lisbon in order to complete his move.
According to Fabrizio, Manchester City have left the negotiations in the last hours. To be clear: never agreed on personal terms, never sent any official bid to Juventus. Only verbal talks and NO agreement so City are out.
Also, on Wednesday, Juventus told Ronaldo they were willing to sell him during the transfer window – but only if their conditions were met by interested clubs.
“[Ronaldo] gave his contribution, he made himself available, now he leaves and life goes on,” boss Massimiliano Allegri said on Friday.
“Things change, it’s a law of life. Juventus remains, which is the most important thing.
“He is to be thanked for what he has done, also as an example among the youngsters. But as I said, we must go on.”
