Cristiano Ronaldo Joins Manchester United Snubs Man. City

Cristiano Ronaldo joins Manchester United in a surprised transfer move on Friday, after all fingers were pointing towards the direction of the blue side of Manchester as his next destination after leaving Italy.

According to renowned football journalist, Fabrizio Romano who said Cristiano Ronaldo joins Manchester United in his latest post, after Manchester City dropped their interest in the former Real Madrid man, also confirmed that the club has confirmed the move.

According to Fabrizio, the agreement has been completed, and Manchester United will pay around €20m plus add ons to Juventus for Cristiano as a fee.

He also reported that Cristiano has accepted the Manchester United contract bid and he’s now set to sign paperwork once everything will be completed.

He also confirmed that medical to be scheduled in the next hours, as CR7 is now in Lisbon in order to complete his move.

According to Fabrizio, Manchester City have left the negotiations in the last hours. He said: “To be clear: never agreed on personal terms, never sent any official bid to Juventus. Only verbal talks and NO agreement so City are out.”

United said the deal for the 36-year-old five-time Ballon d’Or winner was subject to personal terms, visa and a medical.

Although no official statement yet from the club, a message on their social media handle show the club confirming that the Portuguese forward his due to make his return to the Old Trafford in the next few hours.

Ronaldo now 36, scored 118 goals in 292 games in his first spell at Old Trafford before leaving for Real Madrid in 2009.

He spent six years at Manchester United and won three Premier League titles, one Champions League, two League Cups and one FA Cup – as well as the Fifa Club World Cup and Community Shield – under Sir Alex Ferguson.
