Ødegaard: Arsenal Agree Fee For Norwegian Midfielder

Martin Ødegaard is looking set to rejoin Arsenal, after it was reported that both Real Madrid and Arsenal have reached a deal for Norwegian midfielder to move to the Emirate on a permanent deal.

According to reports, Martin Odegaard who already has shown his talents in the Premier League and thrived in the responsibility and faith placed in him by Mikel Arteta during his loan there at season, pushed for the move to be made permanent, as he struggles for a first-team start.

The agreement reached with Real Madrid is said to be a bit less than €40m as a final fee for Ødegaard. He already agreed personal terms with Arsenal until June 2026 and he is happy to come back.

Ødegaard was Arsenal priority since June but it was a complicated deal as Real were planning to keep him. From Gunners, they always wanted only Martin Ødegaard.

Arsenal director Edu Gaspar and manager Arteta had a winning strategy waiting until the end of the window to offer a permanent move.

Real Madrid and Arsenal will announce the deal soon, Ødegaard leaves Real and he’s back at Emirates where he loves his loan spell last season.

The Norwegian midfielder was one of the hottest prospects in European football as a teenager and made his international debut aged just 15, signing for Real Madrid shortly after his 16th birthday for a reported three million euros.
