Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois fails to return for Chelsea training on Monday, amid a possible transfer to Real Madrid.
The 26-year-old who won the golden glove as the best goalkeeper at the just concluded FIFA world cup in Russia, was the only absentee on Monday at the Chelsea training ground, thereby fueling speculation of his potential exit from the London club.
The likes of Eden Hazard, Olivier Giroud, N’golo Kante, Batshuayi and team captain Gary Cahill were all present at today’s training engaging in special training before joining up with others as Manager Sarri works out his first team for the new season.
Though Italian manager Maurizio Sarri has constantly played down the possible exit of Courtois as he keeps on assuring fans and journalist that the Belgian is still Chelsea’s number one, it is a well known fact that the goalkeeper has been linked to Real Madrid and he also has never denied the fact that when the opportunity comes to go to Madrid he will jump.
Courtois who has given the reason of wanting to move to Madrid as to be reunited with his family and spend more time with them, will do is best to leave as soon as possible, as Chelsea fans do not take likely to any player whose commitment and loyalty to the club are in question, and the heat will be turned on him if he fails to leave this transfer window.
