The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, (NCDC) has recorded and confirmed 590 new cases of the dreaded coronavirus in Nigeria on Friday.
NCDC in their daily COVID-19 situation reports on Friday 30th July 2021, confirmed 590 new cases of the virus, with 8 new deaths.
The report published on Friday on the official site of the centre, shows that out of the 590 new cases confirmed, Lagos recorded the highest, with 308 new cases, followed by Akwa Ibom with 54.
From the published report on the site, information posted showed that to date, a total of 173,411 cases have been confirmed, with 164,978 cases been the total number of discharged cases on this date, and 2,149 deaths recorded so far in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The 590 new cases are reported from 18 states, and the distribution across these states shows:

Cases reported for Niger state for 28th July (12) and 29th July (11)
Cases reported for Delta state for 10th (1), 11th (1), 13th (3), and 29th July (4), and 0 cases reported from Ondo and Osun States.
