Comrade Sowore is said to be stable and in high spirit, after he was allegedly shot by the Police In Abuja on Monday.

Senator Shehu Sani who also reported the incident, took to his official social media handle on Monday 31st May 2021, to say that the Convener of the Revolution Now Movement is in good condition, after he paid him a visit at the hospital where he was receiving treatment for his alleged gunshot wound.

The Senator said during his visit to the hospital, he told Comrade Sowore to invite his ‘juju’ man to his next protest for protection. He had said this jokingly.

The Senator tweeted this saying:

“I just visited Comrade @YeleSowore at the Hospital where he is undergoing treatment. He is stable and in high spirit. On the lighter side, I advised him to bring that Juju man to the venue of the next protest”.

The advice by Shehu Sani about taking ‘Juju man’ to his next protest, is coming a few weeks after Sowore was pictured appearing at a Magistrate Court in Zone 2 Wuse Abuja, with a spiritual leader, as he continues his case with the Federal government.

The spiritual leader in photos and video shared on social media,
was seen waving his horsewhip and gourd in the air while chanting ahead of the commencement of the trial.

Court workers, journalists, policemen, and other visitors who were on the court premises were stunned by the development, while others burst into laughter at the sighting of the Native Doctor.

Comrade Sowore had on Monday said that he was shot by a police officer in Abuja during a peaceful protest on Monday morning.

He had said this on his verified Twitter handle, where he accused one of the officers, Assistant Commissioner of Police Atine of being the one who allegedly pulled the trigger.

The Police have however denied shooting the activist.
He wrote “Just been shot (sic) by a police officer, ACP Atine at the Unity Fountain in Abuja.”

He and others had gathered at the Unity Fountain Abuja for a protest slated to hold today.

He was immediately taken to a hospital for attention.

Accompanying him to the hospital were sympathizers including the leader of the Concerned Nigerians Group Deji Adeyanju.
Sowore however said to his followers that the struggle must continue if he dies.

He said, “Let the struggle continue even if they take my life! “
No official statement yet from the Police as at the time of this report.
