The three Rivers State indigenes who were recipients of the Presidential NYSC Award for their community services during their service year, have been offered jobs or scholarships to Master and PhD levels by the Rivers State Government.
Governor Wike of Rivers State, had disclosed this on Tuesday 23rd March 2021, while receiving the three recipients at the house in Port Harcourt. He praised them for doing the state and Nigeria proud.
“As a result of this, they have been offered employment with the Rivers State Civil Service or scholarships for Masters and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in any University of their choice.
Gilbert Kiaka Goodnews won the NYSC award, for offering free ICT training to over 200 students in Bayelsa State. Barr Miss Worlu Aruchi Rachael, offered free legal services and secured the release of 22 inmates from jail in Yobe State.
Jasper Deebari Uchenna during his national service put up street names and signs on streets in Jigawa State. Their service to humanity is commendable as they went above and beyond the call of duty to impact society.
