The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported a total of 1340 new cases of the dreaded coronavirus in Nigeria. This latest report which also saw 14 deaths, was reported on Thursday 4th February 2021.
The NCDC in their daily update on the coronavirus spread and deaths across the 36 states of the Federation, including the Federal Capital Territory, stated on their official social media handle that the 1340 new cases recorded on Thursday, were data from 22 states. The distribution of these 1340 new cases, shows the following across the 22 states:

The NCDC stating further in their Thursday’s update stated that with the 1340 new cases, it means that till date, a total of 136,030 cases have been confirmed, with 110,449 cases discharged and 1,632 deaths recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Also, the centre added that discharges today include 824 community recoveries in Lagos State, 448 in the FCT and 142 in Plateau State managed in line with guidelines.
