The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 1565 new cases of the dreaded coronavirus in Nigeria, with Lagos state recording the highest figure.

In the latest update reported by the NCDC on Thursday 7th January 2021, the 1565 new cases were recorded in 25 states of the Federation, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). While Lagos recorded the highest with over 800 new cases, FCT followed it with over 200 cases.

The 1565 new cases as reported by the NCDC showed the following distributions across the 25 states of the federation:

Jigawa-1

The NCDC also disclosed that about there were about 314 community recoveries in Lagos State and 158 in Kaduna State.

Also, 84 recoveries were recorded in Plateau State, which were all managed in line with guidelines.

According to the daily updates from NCDC, as at 7th January 2021, a total of 95934 cases have been confirmed, with 77982 cases discharged and 1330 deaths recorded. All these, in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory
