President Donald Trump has slammed the Supreme court’s verdict on Texas, where he alleged that the Presidential election was rigged and the verdict by the court showed it lacked wisdom and courage to overturn Joe Biden’s victory in his favour. He said they have let the American people down for throwing out the Texas lawsuit.
A few hours after the Supreme Court’s verdict on Texas, Trump took to his official Twitter handle to tweet this saying:
“The Supreme Court really let us down. No Wisdom, No Courage!“, he said.
He continued by adding that the election was rigged in favour of the Democrats while urging his supporters to fight on. He said:
“So, you’re the President of the United States, and you just went through an election where you got more votes than any sitting President in history, by far – and purportedly lost. You can’t get “standing” before the Supreme Court, so you “intervene” with wonderful states that, after careful study and consideration, think you got “screwed”, something which will hurt them also. Many others likewise join the suit but, within a flash, it is thrown out and gone, without even looking at the many reasons it was brought. A Rigged Election, fight on!, he said.
President Donald Trump who was really hopeful that the Supreme Court’s verdict will go in his favour and the Republicans had tweeted this message earlier before the verdict was read. He had tweeted this message about the case:
“The Supreme Court shows great Wisdom and Courage, the American People will win perhaps the most important case in history, and our Electoral Process will be respected again!,” he said.
From the above Tweet, and the previous one after the Supreme Court’s verdict, it is clear that the President is someone who likes to always have his ways. And if decisions don’t go his way as wished, he looks for an excuse to fault the system or the process, and these tweets from his official handle are clear evidence of that.
He also tweeted earlier on Friday, urging and trying to influence decisions of the Supreme Court before the verdict on Texas. He said:
“Now that the Biden Administration will be a scandal plagued mess for years to come, it is much easier for the Supreme Court of the United States to follow the Constitution and do what everybody knows has to be done. They must show great Courage & Wisdom. Save the USA!!!,” he said.
The United States Supreme Court as reported earlier, threw out a lawsuit backed by President Donald Trump and filed by Texas Republicans challenging Joe Biden’s victory.
The court’s order was its second this week rebuffing Republican requests that it get involved in the Joe Biden’s victory and the 2020 election outcome. The justices turned away an appeal from Pennsylvania Republicans on Tuesday.
According to the report by Associated Press, the Texas lawsuit asking the U.S. Supreme Court to invalidate President-elect Joe Biden’s victory in a brief order, the court said Texas does not have the legal right to sue those states because it “has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections.”
Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas, who have said previously the court does not have the authority to turn away lawsuits between states, said they would have heard Texas’ complaint. But they would not have done as Texas wanted — setting aside those four states’ 62 electoral votes for Biden — pending resolution of the lawsuit.
White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said the justices “dodged. They hid behind procedure. None of those justices gave a view on the facts of the case.” Appearing Friday night on Fox News Channel’s ”Hannity,” McEnany said the legal fight would continue in state courts.
