Diego Maradona has died at the age of 60 after suffering a cardiac arrest. The World Cup winner passed away at his home in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Wednesday afternoon.
Diego Maradona had earlier this month,been hospitalised and required surgery after suffering a blood clot on his brain.
The Argentine is regarded as one of the greatest players of all time after guiding his nation to success at the World Cup in 1986.
The tournament is also famous for Maradona’s ‘Hand of God’ goal which helped knock England out at the quarter-final stage. In that same game, Maradona was also responsible for scoring one of the greatest goals in World Cup history as he dribbled from his own half through England’s entire defence.
Maradona also won several titles during his club career with Boca Juniors, Barcelona and Napoli.
